Review & GIVEAWAY: Diamond Nexus Diamond Earrings!!

1/23/2014

Disclaimer:  I was sent the products in this post for the purpose of review.  I was not paid for this post and all opinions are my own.

Marilyn Monroe coined the phrase "Diamonds are a girl's best friend", Elizabeth Taylor made "White Diamonds" famous, let's be honest, as long as women have been around and diamonds have been known of women and diamonds have had a special relationship.  To date the most beautiful diamonds I've ever received are apart of my engagement ring and wedding band.  I've rocked the CZ's for years, I just couldn't even joke up the money for "real" diamonds.  Sure I'd wear them everyday but that's a lot of coin for some small earrings!

So when the folks over at Diamond Nexus offered to send me my own pair of Princess Cut earrings I just couldn't say "no", I mean, could you?  They also asked me if i preferred Princess or Solitaire cut...I decided to go with Princess because they are a little different.  Sure, I could have gotten round solitaires to match my engagement ring but while rounds are universal so are squares too, right?
The packaging that the earrings arrived in was absolutely gorgeous and wrapped so beautifully in a big white box with a satin black bow.  I definitely felt like I was getting a very lavish goodie when I opened these earrings up!

While Diamond Nexus offers not only real diamond earrings, bracelets, rings, necklaces and more, they also offer fashion jewelry that is just as beautiful because it's not made with CZ's.  Their fashion jewelry are actually made with diamond simulated stones.  These are lab created diamonds that are offered at a fraction of the cost of real diamonds.  Great for if you are on a budget or for that man in your life who wants to give you a beautiful and fancy gift but not spend two or three paychecks on it!
With Valentine's Day coming up I asked Diamond Nexus if they would be willing to work with me to give one of my readers a beautiful pair of earrings just like mine...and guess what? THEY SAID YES!!  So while you can send your man over to Diamond Nexus to look at goodies for you, you can also enter to win your own pair here!

  4. I would of course prefer real diamonds but I feel that in some situations simulated may be a better option...if you consider the event or if it may be for everyday wear.

  7. My engagement ring is a diamond, but I see nothing at all wrong with diamond simulates! I don't love my engagement ring b/c a "diamond is forever" or any of that business (nothing wrong w/ anyone who does!). I love it for what it means to me and well, yeah, b/c it's sparkly - but so are simulates!

  15. I like the princess cut above all others, to me it is more classic and stylish. It seems to me that you really cannot tell the difference between real ones and the others unless you are a jeweler.

  35. As long as it looks nice and not cheap or fake... I dont see anything wrong with it not being the real deal. I also wont have a heart attack if I lost 1 or both earrings like I would if they were real.
