Disclaimer: All products in this post were sent to me for review. All of the below opinions are my own.
When mom of 6 (yes, six!) Jennifer created TruKid she wanted to create products that weren't full of chemicals, smelled bad and her kids loved. Jennifer truly believes that she is putting out a product that is the best on the market and hopeful that mom's will realize this as well! These products offer so many pluses!
The packaging is super cute and bright, even Hannah took notice of how "cute" it was! She definitely wanted to dive right into them and use them.
The first product we got to test out was the TruKid Hero Stick. Said to be a "totable healer that will leave your kids thinking you have super powers!" Also nicknamed "Mom's Kiss in a Stick" this product works on bug bites, dry skin and the ever abundant (if you are a parent) boo-boo.
I've actually been using this on Hannah's shoulder area where she had a cut when the mirror fell on her about a month ago. All the skin has healed but it is pink and she still says "boo-boo back". So while I still give it a kiss I also apply this hoping it helps with any dryness or itching she might be experiencing. I do notice that when I apply it she says "ohhhhhh...nice" which is always makes me feel better! My husband even used this today on a dry patch on his elbow and it felt better immediately! So there you go, this is definitely a multipurpose product...although I think the girls will get more use out of it haha
Secondly, we tried out TruKid's Sunny Days Sunscreen. This product actually comes in a couple different forms, a lotion and the face and body stick. While I like the lotion formula I do prefer the stick method however the SPF smell that you often get with lotion wasn't so apparent with Sunny Days which was nice because I'm not a fan of the infamous SPF smell. It was also good to know that this product has a beeswax base so it will stay on the girls and is water resistant. I'll definitely be keeping this is the beach/pool bag once it warms up and we head south to the beach!
Even more pluses to TruKid products:
- All Natural, Eczema safe, Mineral Based and Non-Toxic
- Pediatrician and Dermatologist tested
- Gluten, Phyhalate and Paraben Free!
- PETA Certified, Animal Cruelty Free
- Biodegradable with 100% recyclable, BPA Free packaging
Do you want to try out some TruKid products? They were nice enough to give me a coupon code for my readers! Use code TRUMOM for 15% off orders of $30 or more! These products are definitely worth giving a try and are perfect for the moms out there who don't want to put harsh chemicals on their babies precious skin!
