I personally love Fall and Winter...I'm not a warm weather girl at all, I much prefer a chill in the air! Here are a few of my favorite things from clothing to make up and in between.
I really LOVE big comfy sweaters and sweatshirts for this time of the year...nothing better than cuddling up in one and you can dress them up or down...the one in this picture is from Old Navy, they always have great sales and I love the fit, they even have some embellished ones! Pair that sweater or sweatshirt with some skinny jeans and knee high boots and it looks like you actually pulled yourself together for the day! Great for moms on the go! Finally toss on a infinity scarf to keep your neck nice and warm!
Since the cold weather makes it harder for skin to retain moisture I always use either a hydrating primer like this one from Smashbox or a BB Cream like the one from Ponds. These products not only help keep my skin hydrated but make my foundation look flawless. I tend to stay away from a Matte finish foundation in the winter but this one from Kat Von D is the perfect Matte/Satin blend...I still get a little glow but the matte blend gives me full coverage that I need for the redness in my face.
On my eyes I like to do a more neutral lid with a darker crease since I like to do a darker or more bold lip in the fall and winter. The Wet N Wild palette is awesome...I can get so many looks out of this and the Color Tattoos from Maybelline are great swipe and go options. For lips I do like something more bold and usually I go for red. The one step La Laque from L'Oreal is a great and quick way to get the pigmented red but only use one product. Sometimes I will also use a liner, lipstick and lip gloss if I want something a little more glossy and finally if I want a matte lip I'll go with MAC products. Just the Auburn pencil alone is a beautiful color but pairing it with the lipstick just amplifies that brick red color.
For a more muted lip I again like the La Laque from L'Oreal but an all time favorite is pairing NYX Soft Pink with MAC's Cherish and Revlon's Orchid on top...always gives a beautiful color...you can also try NYX's Paris Round Lipstick!
I just got these polishes from a giveaway I had won but they are amazing! The Essie colors are pigmented and pretty opaque...definitely must get these in bigger sizes!!
There's just a few of my favorites for fall! I'll be doing a video on the separate categories on my YouTube channel so keep an eye out for those coming soon!!
