Finding Inspiration for Holiday Pictures

12/04/2013

Recently my whole family had our holiday pictures done.  They aren't too festive since they were during the fall time but we got some amazing photographs!  I have to be honest when it came to setting up the photos though I didn't have too many ideas, thankfully our photographer lived on farm with beautiful backgrounds and was thoughtful enough to take us to a park and get some of the girls playing!

I don't know about you but I love getting Holiday cards.  It's the one time a year I get photos from family and friends near and far plus I get to see how much they and their families have grown.  I know that people love seeing how big our girls get every year!  Cards that are sent in the mail are much more personal too.  I don't like e-cards, they feel cold and generic.  I can really appreciate when someone has taken the time to write out a card to me and mail it, it feels old fashioned and like I'm important enough to take the time to do that.

Are you struggling with how to pose or even find portrait outfits?  Tiny Prints just came out with a post 100 Inspiring Holiday Card Photos!  This post covers all sorts of ways to make your Holiday photos or ANY family photography session amazing!  There are about 100 different ideas with sample photos and tricks!  I'll definitely be taking note of these for next years family photo sessions!  I'm super excited for the girls to be one year older so they actually want to play with the props and have some fun in front of the camera!

Which one is your favorite?  Did you use any of these poses for your Holiday cards?  Share your photos with us!!

  1. I started thinking about cards in October. Took some fall photos of the kids but don't love them. Now its; negative degrees out so I'm stumped.
