Weeks 20-24 Pregnancy Update!
8/18/2014
Twenty-Four weeks pregnant! WTF? Crazy, I feel like I blinked and I popped! And let me tell you...I've popped. Baby bump in full effect now...officially bigger than the butt and the boobs! The last four weeks have been pretty laid back minus one small trip to the ER.
About 2 weeks ago I had a pretty bad week with anxiety attacks and stress which caused me to have kidney stones. Kidney stones caused some bleeding in my urine and it got me worried so I made an impromptu trip to the ER which transferred me to Labor & Delivery (L&D). Sadly, I went to the closest ER versus going to the hospital ER where my doctors were. This meant a lot of waiting time. I think I got checked in around 5 PM and didn't leave until almost 2 AM.
Everything seems to be much better now and I'm on antibiotics for the kidney stones. Unfortunately, there isn't anything I can take for the anxiety but my doctors did recommend taking Benadryl. Weird, right? They said that it will help make me sleepy, calm me down and all of those are essential to stopping an anxiety attack. Needless to say, I've stocked up on Benadryl. Now for the basics!
How far along? 20 Weeks – 24 Weeks
Total weight gain/measurements: 11 lbs by Week 24
Maternity clothes: I bought some new things from Motherhood Maternity and did a haul. I needed some dresses for two upcoming weddings and I also got a new pair of shorts and some under-garmets for the dresses. Say hello to Maternity Spanx!
Sleep: Find myself tossing and turning but I'm sleeping mostly on my left side.
Best moment this week: Both positive and negative was my trip to the ER. While going to the ER sucked seeing baby boy on the ultrasound and knowing he's okay made it much better.
Miss anything? Sleeping on my stomach!
Movement: Kicking up a storm...that's a good thing :)
Food cravings: Ruby Tuesday's salad bar...WTF?
Anything making you queasy or sick? Meat. I still am having a hard time cooking it and eating it.
Gender: BOY!
Labour signs: Nope!
Symptoms: Eating TUMS like a champ because of heartburn. I have a kidney stone right now so that isn't much fun.
Belly button in or out? In!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time? Happy more than moody.
Looking forward to: Our "baby moon" for my cousins wedding and having some one on one time with my main man :)

Right now we are gearing up for a crazy 5 weeks or so it seems. We've got two weddings, flying to FL for one of them, we are taking the girls for a 4D sonogram to see their little brother, I've got maternity photo sessions to do, family pictures to plan and get started on the nursery revamp (stay tuned for that!). Plus you add in our 3 year wedding anniversary, my husband's birthday and prepping for Savannah's 2nd birthday it's about to real up in here!
How are all my other pregnant momma's feeling? I'd love to hear your updates and know how you are doing!

That stinks that you had to go to the ER, but glad you are OK. And goodness gracious, girl, how do you have the energy to keep up with your 5 weeks? :) When I was pregnant both times, I barely left the couch and if anybody suggested otherwise, they got the glare of doom. :)
ReplyDeletetrust me...I don't want to get off the couch but I figure I'll have a lot of time to rest after baby comes and with the holidays and winter we won't be traveling at all!
