Weeks 24-28 Pregnancy Update & Vlog
9/11/2014
It's crazy to think I'm so far past the half way point. I'm actually closer to delivering than I am remaining pregnant. We have so much going on in the next two weeks that it's hard to focus on having the baby but after these couple of weeks we will be able to rest and "nest".
How far along? 24 Weeks – 28 Weeks
Total weight gain/measurements: 12 lbs by Week 28
Maternity clothes: I bought two maternity t-shirts from Old Navy on sale as well as one pair of skinny jeans for the fall and one sweater. I doubt I’ll buy anything else for maternity clothes since I’m getting so close to my due date now.
Stretch marks? Same old ones and maybe some new, it’s hard to tell.
Sleep: Some nights I sleep like a rock. Others I toss and turn.
Best moment this week(s): Taking Hannah to see her baby brother on the sonogram at the 4D ultrasound. Also, finding out our “due date” for my c-section.
Miss anything? I definitely miss being able to drink. I’m not a huge drinker since having kids but for some reason pregnancy makes me want alcohol! WEIRDO!
Movement: Kicking up a storm and it’s starting to drive me nuts!
Food cravings: Mexican…YUM!
Anything making you queasy or sick? Meat. Not so much eating it anymore but touching raw meat..ew!
Gender: BOY!
Labour signs: Nope!
Symptoms: Heartburn is back in full swing (boo!)
Belly button in or out? In!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time? Mostly happy!
Looking forward to: Bringing home baby boy in November for Thanksgiving!
I'm so looking forward to putting the nursery together and seeing a space created just for our baby boy. I'm thrilled that one of my friends has offered to throw me a baby shower and I'm so looking forward to it. She's super creative, I can't wait to see what she comes up with for his party theme. Other than that we are just celebrated my husband's birthday and our anniversary is next week. We are uber excited for our "traditional" anniversary dinner at Morton's that we do every year! I'm looking forward to it so much that I might fast that whole day...hmmm...not really, but you get the point.
We got our due date for Baby Triple C and it's November 21st! I can't wait to have him home for Thanksgiving and having a finalized date makes it much more real. While I delivered my girls at 37 weeks, because my health has been so much better this pregnancy I'm delivering Caleb at 39 weeks. The ONLY thing I'm nervous about and still have to ask the doctors is, can I go into natural labor before my c-section? I'm sure that's a possibility but I'm not sure what that would mean for me or baby, so it's on my Dr. Question list for next weeks appointment. We are also heading to a family wedding next weekend so it will be our first time traveling while I'm this pregnant and definitely our first time traveling like this with the girls. I'll have to do an update on how that whole process goes.
